The Ayurvedic Approach

At Gingerhill, we follow the principles of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old Indian philosophy advocating holistic wellness via diet and lifestyle optimization. We believe that providing an Ayurvedic, gluten-free, farm-to-table meal is the greatest way to honor the body, support the mind, and reap the bounty of the land. Additionally, we understand that proper nutrition will ensure that our community members are healthy, happy, and able to contribute. Our private Chef and Ayurvedic Specialist collaborate to produce an Ayurvedic menu that is medicinal, local, and prepared with aloha. By sourcing many of our own ingredients, we are also able to pursue our vision for sustainable Hawaiian agriculture.

Lunch with our amicable farm community is available Monday-Friday. We serve our meals on our Lanai, overlooking our brilliant gardens and striking ocean views. Our dishes feature farm-fresh produce such as papaya, mango, star fruit, avocado, greens, sweet potatoes, green beans, and more! We advise guests interested in learning more about how we grow our produce to sign up for a farm tour.

At Gingerhill Farm retreat, we seek to simultaneously reform Hawaiian agriculture and provide a nourishing and revitalizing experience for guests. We lay the foundation for the Gingerhill experience by growing and preparing the most nutritious and delicious food possible. Meal preparation begins in our organic gardens and orchards with the first planting of a seed. In dedicating great attention and care to our food from the planting to harvesting stages, we are able to grow organic, non-GMO, medicinal foods as a means of healing our bodies and communing with nature.
